Meep! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a “fashion” post. I gotta say that in quotes cuz this is hardly Paris Fashion Week here…As I posted about back here, winter fashion is hard for me. I’m really gonna start trying though – I promise! This post is well, a baby step haha. A few weeks ago, it was snowing outside, and I was like this would actually make for a pretty shoot for a basic winter outfit! This outfit is nothing ground breaking here; however, it works really well for a Chicago or like anywhere winter.
To start, the parka is the Kensington Parka from Canada Goose – 1. The parka is EVERYTHING, but it’s on the tad pricier side. It’s a really great investment, and I believe a good winter parka is worth it, especially if you live a polar vortex prone state. Since it’s pricy – I’ve found a few others that aren’t caught as gut wrenching as that one. Remember! Parkas are an investment (so don’t yell at me that they are all still in the 100s) – 2. / 3. / 4.
Next up – my boots, another investment piece! They are UGG’s (1.), and I am crazy madly obsessed with them! I legit cannot get enough of these bad boys. Not only are the waterproof (this is so f-ing clutch), they have that wonderful amazing UGG fur inside, everywhere! Your are so warm and cozy. I’ve linked up my faves and a few others too! 2. / 3.
Sweatshirts are one of the best parts of winter…are you wearing a bra or not? Who knows! Cuz you have a sweatshirt on! I saw that on a meme somewhere, but it’s sooo true. And they are even better when they are cute. Mine above is the Zoe Karssen’s Créme de la Créme sweatshirt – 1. I KNOW! It’s mucho dinero for a sweatshirt…eeekkk!! Not typically my jam, yet I do love it so much! Here are some fun, less expensive, script sweatshirt that I love: 2. / 3. / 4. / 5. / 6. / 7. / 8. / 9. / 10. /
Jeans are WAY old and not around anymore (the brand is Citizens). Because they are like almost 5 years old, I’ve had my eye on some new skinny’s. Here are few I’ve been looking at it in all sorts of price ranges: 1. / 2. / 3. / 4. / 5.
My hat is from Claire’s (insert monkey emoji covering his eyes – it was CHEAP there). I felt like I was traveling back to 1999 when I walked in there! I couldn’t find it any here on the Claire’s website; however, I found a comparable version on ASOS’ – 1. and in PINK 2. – might have to buy this one too!
